Suggested Campaign Budgets
Two factors play into how much you should budget for a campaign:
- The number of “unique visitors” per month to your website and
- How large you want your “reach” to be.
The more unique visitors you have and the bigger your desired reach means you will need a larger budget. The following is a general guideline for a web retargeting and a Facebook/Instagram campaign based on the monthly number of unique visitors to your site.
|Unique Monthly Visitors||Suggested Per Week Budget|
|1K – 2K||$50 – $100|
|2K – 3K||$100 – $125|
|3K – 4K||$125 – $150|
|4K – 5K||$150 – $200|
|5K – 10K||$200 – $350|
|10K – 15K||$350 – $500|
|15K – 20K||$500 – $650|
|20K – 25K||$650 – $750|
|25K – 30K||$750 – $900|
|30K – 50K||$900 – $1,400|
|50K – 100K||$1,400 – $2,500|
|100K – 500K||$2,500 – $12,500|

Geo-fencing has a very low cost per 1000 impressions (CPM) of usually $1-$3 per thousand. However, the larger the Geo-fence boundary, the more impressions will be served, requiring a larger budget. Consult your free Geobid Account Manager in order to set up the most cost effective Geo-fence boundaries and Geo-fence campaigns. Click geo-fencing to learn more.
Only increase your campaign budget if you spend the full amount by the end of the budget week (Sunday) or if you add new parameters to you campaign such as Facebook/Instagram; video or HTML5 ads; larger Geo-fence boundaries; or extended hours in which you serve your ads daily.
